“Opening during the times of Covid-19 has prepared us to be diligent in infection prevention and cautious when it comes to gatherings within our community,” said The Landings of Lake Gaston’s executive director Heather Foster. “That’s why this celebration has meant so much to our residents, our team members, our families and our community partners. We have not had the opportunity to truly recognize and celebrate our entrance into this community safely.”
After opening to serve Littleton’s area seniors on May 4 of this year, The Landings of Lake Gaston was eager to safely celebrate their grand opening at their Ribbon Cutting Celebration Tuesday, July 20.
With the help of the Lake Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Landings of Lake Gaston and their guests commemorated their opening with an outdoor ribbon cutting ceremony and a blessing of their building. Two of the very first residents to call The Landings of Lake Gaston home were selected to partake in the ribbon cutting. Betty Pinelli and Ben Bokuniewicz were surrounded by their dedicated team of caregivers as they cut the ceremonial ribbon together.
Families from the surrounding area, as well as community partners and local officials enjoyed catered food from The Landings of Lake Gaston’s in-house dietary team which included petite shrimp and geechie boy grits, meatballs with gravy and assorted fruits and cheeses. Their skilled culinary team offers nutritious meals like the ones featured in the event to their residents each day as part of an all-inclusive pricing model.
The musical stylings of Acoustic Edge entertained the crowd outside after the ribbon cutting, as guided tours were offered inside by their team of senior living advisors. Guests were able to see the luxurious amenities that fill this community like the in-house salon and spa, the private theater, two dining rooms, interior courtyard and robust activity spaces.
